    HARPSICHORD, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER
    Soundscapes of early music

In this concert, two differently tuned harpsichords take you into contrasting worlds of sound: One harpsichord is tuned to a »mean-tone« tuning with very pure sounds, while the second instrument is tuned to a »well-tempered« tuning, which allows for great tonal flexibility and modulation. The concert, which will be performed by the harpsichord and recorder classes of the HfMT, will open your ears to the many colours of early music, ranging from gentle to dramatic.

    THE RUSH
    A literary celebration

Intoxication has played a central role in human history for thousands of years. From the cult of Dionysus to therapeutic LSD experiences - people have always been fascinated by various intoxicants, and many writers have written about the tension between the expansion of consciousness and drug abuse. But art, love or power, lows and highs, the diversity of the senses can also be intoxicating ...

Celebrate with us a roaring literary festival with texts by Euripides, Homer, Goethe, Zweig, Jandl, Falk, Goetz, Palmetshofer and others.

Artistic direction: Natascha Clasing and Marc Aisenbrey

    Provenance Research Day
    Tour of the collection

What do we know today about the provenance of our works of art? Were they stolen from their previous Jewish owners during the National Socialist era? We have been investigating the provenance of all our sculptures, drawings and prints for a long time in order to clarify their paths into our collection and rule out such cases.

Dagmar Lott will present her work as a provenance researcher at the Ernst Barlach Haus. The focus will be on selected works and their eventful history before 1945. The guided tour is free of charge (plus museum admission), registration is not required.

The day of action was initiated by the Arbeitskreis Provenienzforschung e.V., an international association of over 300 academics.

    PIANO EXPERT
A portrait of the exceptional pianist Nuron Mukumi

Nuron Mukumi emerged as an exceptional talent at an early age in his home country of Uzbekistan: he began playing the piano at the age of 6, started training as a conductor at the age of 7 and performed Mozart's Piano Concerto in D minor at the age of 8, conducting the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan at the same time. A video recording of this concert paved his way into the international concert world.
Nuron Mukumi has been studying with Hubert Rutkowski at the HfMT since 2022 to take his concert exam. He is now presenting his pianistic skills to the Klang & Form audience.
He will perform works by Frédéric Chopin, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and York Bowen.
